One Room, Two Comedians and 130 Babies
Published on 11 September 2018
Just had a baby? Well you probably could do with a good laugh.
We’re launching a brand new baby friendly comedy club for new parents.
The event is ran by Sam Avery, local stand-up comedian and Chief Executive of The Comedy Trust. Here’s what he had to say about the event:
“I remember when my kids were first born we did all the classes and they were great but after a while we were desperate for a change of scenery. The great thing about these gigs is that the audience is just happy to be out of the house! And also be in an environment where they don't have to worry about a crying or unsettled baby because it honestly doesn't matter. We also know about the physical benefits of laughter and how it can help connect people so it's a great way of injecting that into people's day.”
We trialled the event earlier on this year where over 160 people came. It was the most amount of people we’ve had wearing nappies in the room ever! Check out the video from the last time.
Don’t worry about your baby making noise, it’s a completely relaxed atmosphere. We’ll leave the lights on, park your buggy for free and have baby changing facilities set up. Plus if you need anything else our Front of House staff will happily assist.
If you can’t join us this week then we have events on 19 October and 7 December too. Tickets are £7.50 (babies are free) and can be booked online, in person at Box Office or on 0151 709 4321.
We advise the audience is over 18 years and under 18 months. They won’t be able to understand any swear words at that age..
