Award-winning Stand-up and Ventriloquist, Nina Conti, returns with her long-awaited full-length solo show. After a recent stint in Hollywood where they appeared in Christopher Guest’s movie For Your Consideration, Nina and Monkey are back to play host to a cavalcade of outlandish double acts in their over-populated show solo show.
Monkey says it is genre-defying, but what does he know? He’s not even real.
The show is a wonderful hotch potch of stand-up, sketches and variety, all of which rely heavily on the use of Ventriloquism with Monkey as ringmaster putting Nina through her paces with a host of different puppets and a host of different puppeteers, all played by Nina. And with characters ranging from her own Grandad who uses Ventriloquism to talk to his dead wife, to a one-armed South African voodoo expert with a talking penis.
