On The Ledge

The Liverpool skyline, hundreds of feet above constant buzz of chatter and traffic, is a place where you can go for some peace and quiet amongst the pigeons. That is if you ignore the two scallies, two bruisers, the gang boss, someone he thinks of as his bit on the side and a very confused office worker.

A masterclass in dark comedy from Alan Bleasdale, the writer of Boys From The Blackstuff, Scully and GBH, On The Ledge is set on the top two floors of a high rise building where different characters are thrown together for all sorts of reasons. Some are running away, others are running after them, most are just doing their job.

A play that has drama, wit and plenty of laughs you are guaranteed to leave on a high. Just don’t look down…

"The most stunning and original piece of theatrical staging I've seen in years... verbally scintillating... serious and incredibly funny"
