For the Autumn season 2007 Rawhide Comedy Club has moved into the Prohibition Bar & Grill, Bold Street, Liverpool.
Rawhide previously used this room in 2000 (then known as Life Cafe) when Peter Kay and Johnny Vegas regularly compered the nights. While we can't promise you Mr Kay and Mr Vegas this time around we can promise you the high standard of food, service and (above all) comedy that Rawhide has been providing for the past 12 years.
There will be a couple of changes to the way that we run the nights so that we can make them as enjoyable as possible for the whole audience. As this is a smaller room, we will be limiting the numbers of big groups to two groups per night. This will help to keep the atmosphere fun and bubbly in the new room. If you would like to book for a group of more than 10 then please call the Box Office on 0870 787 1866.
We are also looking forward to getting our dancing shoes on after the shows again. Some of the tables in the middle of the room will be tidied away after the show to make room for the strutting of funky stuff and the throwing of shapes. We will try to make sure that everyone at those tables gets a comfy seat for the rest of the night but please be kind to our staff while they try to reseat you.
The meal at Prohibition Bar & Grill is served in the trendy upstairs restaurant. It offers a wide range of tasty treats with an American/Mexican influence. Having thoroughly road tested the menu, we are very happy with what chef there can do. We also need larger jeans now. Check out the new menu here.
The timings remain the same. Shows begin at 8pm and run until 11pm. If you are eating with us then please arrive after 6pm, with final seating at bang on 7pm, so don't be late! After the comedy the dancing will go on until the wee small hours.
To get to the venue by public transport then your best bet is Merseyrail to Central station and we are right next door. If you are a bus person then any of the many that stop by Lewis's will leave you just a two minute walk away.

If you like the look of the bar then the room is available to hire from Sunday to Wednesday. Please drop them an email at liverpool@prohibition.uk.com
Prohibition is a fully licensed bar and so Rawhide patrons must be 18 or over. Under 18s will not be allowed on to the premises. If you look under 18, you may be asked for ID; only Government approved ID is accepted, for example passports or driving licenses.
Unfortunately there is no direct disabled access to Rawhide. Prohibition Bar & Grill are currently working with their planners to try and find a suitable entrance point for wheelchair access; however, this is proving difficult as the site is a listed building, and as such reasonable adjustments are hard to make. It would be a breach of Fire Safety regulations to allow wheelchair users into the club at the current time as we would not be able to evacuate in the time set out by the city council and regulations. Prohibition Bar & Grill and Rawhide Comedy apologise for the current situation. Please await further developments.
In line with all other Living Ventures bars and restaurants any customer wearing a hooded top will not be allowed on to the premises.
