The People's Players
Welcoming people of all ages to act, dance and sing.
What skills are we looking for? Nothing, just your enthusiasm. It's okay if you have no previous experience. Just come along and try it out.
We meet every Monday evening, 7 - 8:30pm in the Downstairs studio at the Royal Court. Sessions are free to attend and we cover basic acting skills including; character development, improvisation and physical theatre.
So far, our members have performed a short play called ‘A Different Me’ during a training session with dementia friends at Liverpool’s Royal Court.
CAST CALL OUT
We are looking forward to performing our new play "Home" in the downstairs studio as part of our community theatre week in August. The play is set in Norris Green – in one of the first houses to be built – and tells the stories of everyone who has lived there from the twenties to the present day. Tickets are nearly sold out but hopefully it will be the first of many plays by The People's Players!
